“Guinea pigs are sensitive animals and when I had to leave them for a week I knew Karen’s house was the only place I could take them. My guys Peanut and Flash are well cared for and require more than dumping dried pellets in a bowl. They live in a large C&C cage with a piggy bedspread, are fed twice a day with an enormous salad prepared in the evening and droppings are swept up daily. To make them comfortable we used Karen’s old cage (so I had less to travel with), and set it up to look like home. My boys hardly knew I was gone.”
